Joe Elliott Says Def Leppard's Mission Is To Give The People What They Want

No matter what the Rock Gods throw at Def Leppard they seem to take their blows, brush off the dirt, and roll on stronger than before.  Their drummer, Rick Allen, lost an arm and they still rolled on.  They lost their guitar player Steve Clark to alcohol and drugs and they pushed through. Current guitarist Vivian Campbell is battling cancer while still touring and just recently, Joe Elliott's doctors told him to stop singing until his voice was sufficiently rested or he would permanently damage his multi-platinum vocal cords.  After a few months of rest Joe is ready to make up some postponed gigs and hit the road for the Summer with fellow 80's hit squads REO Speedwagon and Tesla.  That show will be coming to the Xfinity Center in Mansfield on June 22.

We start the interview with a status report on Joe's voice and talk about what it takes to keep a two time Diamond Certified Rock Band together and healthy.
